Europe - Are They Getting The Message ?

It may seem a little obvious to some of you, but the British People have tried to send all of the Political Parties a message through the ballot box last night:

I am not talking about the fact they are disgusted by the MPs expenses scandal, or that this present Labour Government has gone past its sell by date. We know that indeed.

The real message which people in this country, have been trying to get across for some time is simply that they object to our current direction of travel on Europe and expect our politicians to do something about it.

I will not dwell on the European policies of the present Government or their refusal to live up to their pledge and give the British people a voice over the Lisbon Treaty.

The European baton has now been passed to David Cameron, who unlike Nigel Farage or the utterly objectionable Nick Griffin, will become the next Prime Minister. He must accept that Europe is an important issue and simply not talking about it is not an option.

The European, elections have proved that the Conservatives have got a policy which the people of this country support:

‘In Europe but not Governed by Europe.’

Cameron must pursue this course with vigour and not be dissuaded by those in his party who would beg to differ.
