Firstly apologies for not keeping the output up over the past few days, but I have been working like a dog & too knackered to write a single line by the time I finished.
For the benefit of any local Labour councillors reading this, work is something that many of us do as a means to make money. It’s a bit like being on benefits but actually helping the economy as well.
If you work really hard, the Government have a special reward scheme whereby you can contribute 40% of whatever you earn in tax.
If you actually become successful and maybe launch your own company or become a director of the company for which you work, you are then allowed to pay 50% tax.
And where does all this tax go?
Yes you’ve guessed it, it pays for all the benefits that Labour like to dole out so as to keep more & more people in the poverty trap & voting labour.
Anyway many thanks to Jane Griffiths and her excellent Blog for keeping laggards like me amused & entertained with the current goings on down at Redinski Square.
It would seem that Comrade Doubtfire ( Cllr Lovelock to her friends ) has been well & truly rattled by Tory new boy Jamie Chowdhary after he brought to the attention of one and all that the handing over of land for the new Mosque to the local Muslim community was finally sanctioned just before the recent European elections.
Well, I suppose we have had Cash for Questions, Cash for Honours, why not Votes for Mosques. It’s certainly not sound policies and a record of good government that’s going to get our little band of reds under the bed re-elected.
I also loved the piece on CRB checks for Councillors, far from keeping it private why not publish the details on the council web sight next to each councillor’s profile. Although I can think of at least one current member of the Labour Cabinet who would not see this as being publicly convenient, if you get my drift.
Anyway it’s good to be back in the old Stalinist Republic again, almost forgotten that great feeling of being persecuted.

Looks like the end of the (Green) Road for the Green Road Mosque
ReplyDeletehttp://green-road-mosque.blogspot.com/2009/11/permission-expires-end-of-green-road.html
To summarise, the planning permission expired in Oct 2009, and full planning permission would need to be applied for all over again.
A question remains over what happens to Reading Borough Council’s gift of £2 million of taxpayers land, now.
Will it sit in limbo?
